Frequently Asked Questions and Cottage Policies
1. HOW DO WE MAKE A RESERVATION AND PAY FOR OUR STAY?
By using our secure reservation system at https://emea.littlehotelier.com/properties/enchanted-cottages. Registration information required: Credit card and matching driver’s license information; names of guests staying in the cottage, vehicle information and acknowledgement of receipt of these FAQS & policies.
Please note: You must be at least 21 years old to reserve our vacation rental cottages.
2. IS THERE A CLEANING FEE?
No. Except if the cottage is misused or strong odors remain, such as odors from seafood, bacon, cigarette smoke, etc., leaving the cottage unrentable for the next guest. We ask that you clean the kitchen before you check out, (e.g., wash dishes, take out garbage, recycling, etc.). A $50.00 cleaning fee will be charged to your credit card for messy/dirty kitchens. If there are strong, residual odors in the cottage, an automatic $200.00 cleaning fee to remove odors will be charged to the credit card on file. If the cottage or its contents have been damaged or misused, we reserve the right to charge you for extra cleaning costs or replacements purchase if needed by charging the credit card on file. You will be notified in advance, in such events.
3. WILL A DEPOSIT BE CHARGED?
Yes. If your reservation is made more than 21 days prior to the check-in date, an amount equal to one night’s rental plus sales tax will be charged.
4. IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
Yes. If you cancel with more than 21 days prior to the check-in date, the deposit will be refunded, less a $25 card processing fee.
5. WHEN IS FULL PAYMENT DUE?
21 days prior to your check-in date. If reservation made at or less than 21 days prior to check in, the full reservation fees will be charged.
6. AFTER FINAL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE, WILL IT BE REFUNDED IF I CANCEL?
IF we can re-rent the cottage, we will refund you the difference between the rent collected and the amount you paid, less a $25 card processing fee.
7. ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED TO STAY AT ENCHANTED COTTAGES?
Yes, 1-2 small children are allowed to stay in the Hollyhock Cottage as long as you indicate this in your reservation. The Captain’s Cottage is adults only.
All children staying at Enchanted Cottages must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children may not be left alone in the cottages or on the Enchanted Cottages property. We ask that, in consideration for other cottage guests, noise be kept to a minimum. Parents will be liable for any damage caused to the cottage or to the Enchanted Cottages premises or property, or extra cleaning needs caused by their children.
8. ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Yes, the Enchanted Cottages is now dog-friendly! Reservation fees for dogs are $15.00/per night, per dog. Dog reservations must be made at the time of reservation or no less than 3 days prior to check-in. Please read our dog-friendly policy at https://www.enchantedstay.com/dog-friendly/. There is no charge for Certified ADA-compliant service animals.
9. WHAT ARE THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?
Check-in time is 4 pm. Check-out time is 11 am. For an early check-in or a late check-out, you need to call us a day in advance of check-in.
10. HOW DO WE ACCESS THE COTTAGE UPON ARRIVAL?
Upon final payment and four days prior to your arrival, a key code and location of the lock box to gain access will be emailed to you.
11. DO YOU HAVE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes. We have free, off-street parking for one car per cottage. For an additional vehicle, you need to call us in advance.
12. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
We provide all linens, bedding, towels, soaps, shampoos, hair dryer, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, paper products, cleaning supplies. We also offer coffee, tea, creamer and sugar/sweetener for your stay in the cottage.
13. DO YOU HAVE LAUNDRY FACILITIES?
No. 600 yards away, at 49th & Pacific Way, is a brand-new laundromat. Its working hours are 7am-7pm.
14. DO YOU HAVE INTERNET?
Yes. We have free secure high speed wireless for your own devices, plus free Netflix movies.
15. DO YOU HAVE CABLE TV?
Yes, we have basic cable.
16. CAN WE SMOKE OR BBQ OR GRILL MEATS IN THE COTTAGE?
No. If smoke or heavy odors are detected in the cottage, an automatic $200.00 cleaning fee to remove residual odors, will be charged to the credit card on file. No BBQ or grilling or open fires are permitted anywhere on the property. Smoking is allowed outside as long as it does not bother other guests. Ashtrays provided in outdoor areas.
17. CAN WE CLEAN OR COOK CLAMS OR FISH AT THE COTTAGES?
Sorry, no. Due to odors and hygiene concerns for the next arriving guests. We can recommend professional clam and fish cleaning businesses or wonderful restaurants for eating.
18. ARE THERE QUIET HOURS AT ENCHANTED COTTAGES?
Yes, quiet hours are 9:00pm to 9:00am although because of the close proximity of the cottages, guests should be considerate with noise levels at all times.
19. WHAT IF I LEAVE SOMETHING BEHIND?
If you leave something behind, please contact us & let us know. We will be happy to ship it back to you. Shipping charges will apply. Please note, if you do not contact us to have your item(s) shipped back to you, we will donate it to a local thrift store or charitable organization after one month.
20. ARE YOU CLOSE TO THE BEACH AND DISCOVERY TRAIL BICYCLE AND WALKING PATH?
Yes. We are a 10-minute walk to the Seaview Beach Approach or a 2-minute drive. If you would like to rent a bicycle, there are bicycle rentals in Long Beach.
21. WHAT OTHER SERVICES ARE NEARBY?
Visitor’s Bureau, Sid’s Grocery, 42d Street Café, The Depot Restaurant, North Jetty Brewery, Laurie’s Restaurant, Chico’s Pizza, Mobil and a laundromat are all within a 5-10 minute walk. Texaco is right across the street from the Enchanted Cottages.
22. IS SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY?
Smoking is allowed outside of the cottages at least 25 feet away from the cottages. We provide an ashtray for you which can be found on top of the recycling bins.
