Frequently Asked Questions and Cottage Policies

1. HOW DO WE MAKE A RESERVATION AND PAY FOR OUR STAY?

By using our secure reservation system with Lodgify.  Click on the “book” button under the cottage you want or use the “Search Bar” Above on top right of this page.  Registration information is required: Credit card and matching driver’s license information; vehicle information and acknowledgement of lodging agreement and policies that will be texted/emailed to you after booking in a link to our “Boarding Pass” Boarding Pass is your guide to our property, self check-in instructions and our local recommendations and guides.

Please note: You must be at least 21 years old to reserve our vacation rental cottages.

2. IS THERE A CLEANING FEE?

Yes, it is automatically included in your price when you checkout. There is a $75.00 cleaning fee per booking for Captains, and Hollyhock Cottages, Sandpiper is $60 and Serendipity has a $115 cleaning fee. NO COOKING CLAMS! The smell is very hard to resolve quickly.  If there are strong, residual food odors in the cottage, an up to $200.00 cleaning fee to remove odors will be charged to the credit card on file. If the cottage or its contents have been damaged or misused, we reserve the right to charge you for extra cleaning costs or replacements purchase if needed by charging the credit card on file. You will be notified in advance, in such event.

3. WILL A DEPOSIT BE CHARGED?

No deposit is charged.  100% of your reservation total will be charged 21 days prior to the check-in date, we have a 21 day cancellation policy.  If your reservation is under 21 days before check-in you will be charged the complete stay price upon booking. 

4. WHEN CAN I CANCEL WITHOUT BEING CHARGED?

Cancel for free up to 22 days before check-in.  After 21 days your reservation in non-refundable.

5. WHEN IS FULL PAYMENT DUE?

21 days prior to your check-in date. If reservation made at or less than 21 days prior to check in, the full reservation fees will be charged.

6. AFTER FINAL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE, WILL IT BE REFUNDED IF I CANCEL?

IF we can re-rent the cottage, we will refund you the difference between the rent collected and the amount you paid, less a $25 card processing fee. If your dates are not re-rented no refund will be given.

7. ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED TO STAY AT ENCHANTED COTTAGES?

Yes, 1-2 children are allowed to stay in the Hollyhock Cottage.  The Captain’s Cottage is adults only.  Serendipity can sleep 6 comfortably.

All children staying at Enchanted Cottages must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children may not be left alone in the cottages or on the Enchanted Cottages property. We ask that, in consideration for other cottage guests, noise be kept to a minimum. Parents will be liable for any damage caused to the cottage or to the Enchanted Cottages premises or property.

8. ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Yes, the Enchanted Cottages is dog-friendly! You are allowed to bring 1 large dog or 2 small dogs that are free of fleas and people/dog friendly. Reservation fees for dogs are a flat $30.00/per booking. Dog reservations must be made at the time of reservation or no less than 3 days prior to check-in. Undeclared pets will result in your reservation being cancelled and no refund given.  You will be required to sign a pet agreement after booking.  Please read our dog-friendly policy at https://www.enchantedstay.com/dog-friendly/. There is no charge for Certified ADA-compliant service animals.

9. WHAT ARE THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?

We have a “Self Check-In” system.  You will have access to a “Boarding Pass”.  This boarding pass will have your check-in instructions and the codes for the smart door locks.  We use all smart locks so you can check-in at anytime after 4pm unless you purchase “early check-in” in the Boarding Pass and arrive earlier.

We make it as easy and seamless as possible so you can have a smooth arrival and free to be on your own desired schedule.  Check-in of 4pm and Check-out of 11am.

10. HOW DO WE ACCESS THE COTTAGE UPON ARRIVAL?

We are a “SELF CHECK-IN” hotel.  We use a software from Enso called a “Boarding Pass”  You will have been sent an email and a text message with the link to your own personal “Boarding Pass”.  When you arrive to the property just click the link, open the Boarding Pass and click the button labeled “Check-In” and follow the directions.  Boarding Pass contains your smart lock door code.  click next through the check in steps and enter your door code.  We have backup hard keys for emergencies on site so if your smart lock has issues give us a call.

11. DO YOU HAVE PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes. We have free, off-street “Designated & Labeled” parking for one car per cottage. For an additional vehicle, you need to park on the main street of Pacific way.  The main road has plenty of open parking.

12. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We provide all linens, bedding, towels, soaps, shampoos, hair dryer, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, paper products, cleaning supplies. We also offer coffee, tea, creamer and sugar/sweetener for your stay in the cottage.

13. DO YOU HAVE LAUNDRY FACILITIES?

No. 600 yards away, at 49th & Pacific Way, is a brand-new laundromat. Its working hours are 7am-7pm.

14. DO YOU HAVE INTERNET?

Yes. We have free secure 1Gig download high speed wireless for your own devices, plus Roku for some TV’s and Samsung TV for others.

15. DO YOU HAVE CABLE TV?

We have fully setup ROKU’s that have nearly a 1000 TV channels and over 100,000 movies with the included Apps. Includes local “Live” channels with local news and weather.

Also included are what we call “Bring your own Login” apps like Netflix, Amazon etc.. If you have any of these services you may log in and use them. Just makes sure you “Log Out” before you leave.

 

16. CAN WE SMOKE OR BBQ OR GRILL MEATS IN THE COTTAGE?

No, we are a no smoking facility and property.  That includes medical. If smoke or heavy odors are detected in the cottage, an up to $200.00 smoke mitigation cleaning fee to remove residual odors will be charged to the credit card on file. We do not have a BBQ on site but you can grill meats on the stove’s.

No open fires are permitted anywhere on the property except for the propane fireplace. Smoking is allowed outside off property as long as it does not bother other guests.

17. CAN WE CLEAN OR COOK CLAMS OR FISH AT THE COTTAGES?

Sorry, no. Due to odors and hygiene concerns for the next arriving guests cleaning fish, clams or crab is not allowed.

18. ARE THERE QUIET HOURS AT ENCHANTED COTTAGES?

Yes, quiet hours are 9:00pm to 8:00am although because of the close proximity of the cottages, guests should be considerate with noise levels at all times.

19. WHAT IF I LEAVE SOMETHING BEHIND?

If you leave something behind, please contact us & let us know. We will be happy to ship it back to you. Shipping charges will apply. Please note, if you do not contact us to have your item(s) shipped back to you, we will donate it to a local thrift store or charitable organization after one week.

20. ARE YOU CLOSE TO THE BEACH AND DISCOVERY TRAIL BICYCLE AND WALKING PATH?

Yes. We are a 10-minute walk to the Seaview Beach Approach or a 2-minute drive. If you would like to rent a bicycle, there are bicycle rentals in Long Beach.

21. WHAT OTHER SERVICES ARE NEARBY?

Visitor’s Bureau, Sid’s Grocery, 42d Street Café, The Depot Restaurant, North Jetty Brewery, Laurie’s Restaurant, Chico’s Pizza, Mobil and a laundromat are all within a 5-10 minute walk. Texaco is right across the street from the Enchanted Cottages.

22. IS SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY?

Smoking is NOT allowed on the property and at least 25 feet away from the cottages when off property.  This includes medical and pot vaping. We will charge up to $200 for a smoke mitigation fee if smoke or Marijuana is detected in cottages.
