Policies and Guidelines for Captains and Hollyhock

Rates.  Price is based on double occupancy for both cottages.  The Hollyhock can accommodate a young person on the sofa bed for an additional $10 per night.

Reservations. A reservation is a request made by a future guest.  It is a request for us to turn away any other potential guest(s) on the requested dates confirmed.  It is an agreement telling us that you are willing to be completely responsible for payment of the reservation - even if your plans or circumstances change.    

Payments.  We accept all major credit cards. A credit card will be required on check-in if you pay by cash or check.  Your card will be processed upon making a reservation but no charges will be made until check-in.

Cancellation, Refunds and Fees.  All changes to your reservation must be made 14 days prior to check-in.  Cancellations will be assessed a $25 administrative fee to your card.  No refunds will be given for early departure.  Deposits will be forfeited if you don’t show up.

Arrivals and Departures.  You can check in at 3 pm and need to check out by 11 am unless special advance arrangements are made.  Call if you will be arriving after 6 pm.

Housekeeping. We do not charge a separate housekeeping fee.  However, an appropriate gratuity for the housekeeper is appreciated. 

Kitchens. In the kitchen you will find all the makings for coffee and tea. We ask you to be responsible for washing dishes and general cleanliness. Cleaning or cooking of fish, crabs and clams is not permitted. Basic kitchen guidelines are posted in each cottage. Failure to comply will result in a minimum of a $30 extra cleaning charge.

Smoking and Pets and Consequences. We are a non-smoking, pet-free facility. A minimum cleaning fee of $200 will be charged to anyone smoking inside our cottages or bringing in a pet.  All furnishings and amenities are property of the Enchanted Cottages and are intended for the use and enjoyment of registered guests. It is understood that damage and/or items unaccounted for will be charged to your credit card at full replacement value.  A $10 charge for lost or unreturned keys will be assessed.
