Welcome to el Lugar Dulce, our Enchanted Condo in Ixapta, Guerrero, Mexico - created for those refined,  independent, value-seeking travelers who desire a vacation that’s  just a bit different than the usual – after all that’s what a vacation should be – a departure from  everyday life.

Overview.   Our extensively remodeled condo (2008) is full of light and charm and perfect for either short or long-term stays.  We have created a simple, pleasing, comfortable and affordable atmosphere for your vacation getaway, by combining the considerable talents of Mexican craftsman with the practicality of American features.  

Features.  The condo features two bedrooms, each with their own bath, plus a lovely tiled, fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room.  There are beautiful capetas (inlaid mosaics) throughout the tiled floors, baths with glass block walls and stone floors in the showers, new screened windows with movable blinds, a ceramic stove-top, air condition in the kitchen, air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room.   DVD and CD player, linens, bedding, hair dryer, beach towels, blender, coffee maker, toaster oven, small microwave, dishes, glassware, silverware and basic cooking utensils are all provided.

Location.  This inviting condominium is located on the second floor in the heart of Ixtapa, close to taxis and buses, the beach and a great variety of shops, markets, restaurants, coffee and gelato bars, easily accessible internet access, all right at your doorstep.  A convenient balcony permits you to watch and hear the daily fabric of local Mexican life in the plaza below.  

Neighborhood. Across the main avenue are several large hotels.  Beach access is just a 5-minute walk away, where you can rent chairs and spend the day basking in the fabulous sun, surf and waves.  Taxis and public buses are right outside your door and are easy connections to the Ixtapa Marina and Playa Linda to the north or head south to the charming, busy town of Zihuatenejo and all points beyond, such as Barra de Potosi with its incredible beach or Nexpa, a surfing paradise.  Zihua is made for fun with its interesting shops, restaurants and clubs, plus beachside activities on La Ropa and Madera beaches.

Services.  Our managers will handle your arrival and departure at the condo, help you with any issues or questions you may have and arrange for cleaning service at your request.  This is a self-cleaning apartment and supplies are in the unit.  For stays longer than six nights, a change of linens and cleaning is provided.  Otherwise, reasonable charges will apply for other arrangements you wish to make.   

Restrictions.  For the benefit of all our guests, without exception, the maximum occupancy is four people.  No pets are allowed and there is no smoking.   This policy will be enforced through a security deposit and signing of agreement for your stay. 

Incentive.  Substantial discounts are available for long-term stays (over two weeks).
